Overview

My boss takes from me all the other cases I have been working on, and finding Jessica Ardean is now my only objective. I become suspicious of the sudden urgency of this fifteen-year-old case with crucial parts of its story missing, and I cannot speak to anyone about it. As I review the file on my desk, I realize that I am not the only one working on this case, and Jessica’s safety suddenly becomes my main concern. However, it is becoming clear that she wants to remain in hiding, and maybe for very good reasons. I ignore the directive I am given and set out to find Jessica before anyone else does. I beat the impossible odds and now I'm standing face to face with the woman who is shocked that after all the steps she has taken, someone actually finds their way to her. The search is over, but our journey together has just begun.
