It started with a cup of coffee. It wasn't supposed to be anything more than that. Yet I found myself captivated by the man across the counter. Something about him drew me in. It had me observing from a distance as I tried to figure him out. But as I watched, so did someone else. Someone who thought him to be theirs. Too bad for them, I'm not the type to give up without a fight. Sinclair was mine and I intended to keep him.

Life was good. I had my job and a few people I considered friends. It was all a vast improvement from before. Though, to be honest, most things were better than the hell I came from. Everything changed as my past ripped through my life again. It destroyed the last of my peace and made me a villain to those I'd come to care for. With so much on the line, I didn't feel like I had a choice. Not when he threatened to return.
