Being a gay college transfer student isn’t easy—especially when you’re demi. As an introvert, making friends is hard enough. But throw in the fact that I’m mixed race, shy, and bookish, and it’s nearly impossible. On top of that, the admission price to getting into the LGBT community here seems to be sex— And I’ve never had it. In fact, I’ve never been interested in it. Then I met Bex. He’s older than me—way older, but still looks like a cross between a celebrity and a fitness god. He respects my boundaries, doesn’t play mind games, and makes me feel secure. For the first time in my life, I’m considering exploring the physical side of romance—but only if it’s with him.
