Sometimes doing your job well just might get you in deep trouble.
Jonathan Wright has never been lucky in love. His last relationship was with a man who lived hours away in another state. As a school teacher in a tight job market, his only job offer is in a small town in the middle of nowhere, as a fourth grade English teacher.
When he discovers that one of his students has a single dad, it raises his hopes that there might be some romantic prospects in this small town after all.
While Jonathan takes a chance with someone new in the backwater town, gossip and scandal start following him at every turn.
He soon finds that a young, liberal gay man doesn't fit well in a conservative community where even the word "gay" is often mocked and misunderstood.
Trouble begins brewing when the parents take issue with his teaching style, and he learns that life isn't easy in a town where everyone knows your name and your every secret.
