Overview

Leah knew he'd be put to work to pay for his crimes. He just didn't know it would be in the Silk Road brothel, famed for its debauchery. Now he has to learn fast, or else. Fortunately he has a capable teacher: long-legged, gorgeous Gaius, a veteran of the brothel who knows exactly the right way to whip Leah into shape.

If he can keep up, he might just make something of himself, and get a peek under Gaius' icy exterior. If he can't, there are worse uses he could be put to... And failure is not an option.

Taking Orders: Part 2 and Forbidden Touch: Part 3 are available now in the Kindle Store!

Excerpt:

Leah felt the rest of the room fade around him. The man was pale-skinned and long-limbed, with shadowed eyes and a mouth so red and shining it looked painted in blood. Black leather set off his skin like a jeweler's cloth set off milk-tooth pearls. Rings clustered on his fingers. He was gorgeous, and remote as an iceberg, and his eyes swept over Leah without a second look.

He moved with exacting purpose. More than that, he had presence. It was like he filled the room until there was hardly air left in it for Leah at all.

Leah realized he'd forgotten to breathe. As he did, the world started up again around him. The woman in green waved her hand.

"Gaius. This is our newest acquisition, poor thing that he is." She looked to Leah. "What was your name?"

It was the first time she'd spoken to him like he was anything approaching a human being. It took him a couple of tries to unstick his tongue from the too-dry roof of his mouth. "...Leah."

"Leah. Gaius, if you would be so kind? Clean him up, put him through his paces and find out exactly how badly I'm being swindled."

Leah's stomach did a bizarre little flip-flop at that, embarrassment and fear and the tiniest, tiniest thrill of something that could have been perverse interest or just more terror. He kept finding his eye drawn to the sharp angle of Gaius' hip. Gaius' eye flicked down over Leah, toes to crown, with no more interest than if he was looking at a potted plant. Leah wasn't sure if he was offended or grateful for that.
