Overview

Stealing a dead woman's identity and becoming a mail-order bride was never in Holly's plans. Neither was being used as a bet in a poker game that ended with her being handed over to a man who planned to place her in a brothel. It's run or be forced into a life of prostitution so Holly runs, all the way from New York City to Heart Springs, South Dakota.

Nell Jones never expected to have a woman land smack-dab in the middle of her life and farm. Nell's got her own problems and the last thing she needs is a city-bred woman who falls in the creek and manages to get chased by every animal on the farm on a nearly daily basis.

Only she can't just abandon Holly, who's broke and suddenly adrift when her plans to wed go terribly awry. Holly and Nell are not prepared for the feelings that keep cropping up between them. Everything they have ever been told points to what they feel being wrong. But those feelings are there, and they aren't going away.

Nell and Holly find themselves faced with a choice. They will have to either admit how they feel and risk being shunned by the entire town, or admit nothing and risk losing the very real love growing between them.
