Twenty years ago humanity was nearly driven to the brink of destruction because of the choices of one man. Three years after, Kira Nightraven witnessed her mother's death at the hands of vampires hunting for a man said to be responsible for that destruction. Today, Kira and her twin sister Lily stand in front of the man who led the rebellion which has protected mankind from their immortal enemy.
