The dust still hasn’t settled within the crew after Ty’s untimely death. Starting up where Book Four of Taste the Rainbow left off, Shy and Peachez is in revenge mode after finding out that Alivia is tied to the reason of their best friend’s death. Bonni has a hard time being convinced until she agrees to check into what La’Teesh suggests—the key thing that sheds light on everything. When all is said and done, Bonni makes a quick life-changing decision that leads her on a path of no return.

Meanwhile, as Mer gets used to being back home, except for the strange things happening with the nanny, Sage, things aren’t going as planned as far as her love life. As Shy showed Mer once since being home, she fumbles on Mario’s love again, causing her to drop Mer’s glass heart. Mer’s norm of using her anger and quick temper to solve all her intimate issues turns void as she reacts to the whole ordeal in a way she never has before. Mario tries to move on and start a promising relationship with Caitlin, but Shy isn’t having it as she shows out for all the world to see, including Mer.

Ari is still battling the process of her and Ginger’s separation that’s gradually coming to its end. She and Spyce grow closer as she helps Ari move on by telling parts of her past, letting Ari know that she’s not alone.

Although Peachez still has a place in her heart for Gabe, Peachez is now viewing the lover she once thought she couldn’t live without, from a different perspective. As Peachez finds herself longing for her Lucky, Gabe confesses a truth about her reality, hoping it will be enough to win Peachez’s heart back. When Lucky finally shows Peachez what it is she does for a living, it takes her love up for her Lucky-Bear several notches.

While La’Teesh still uses her gifted knowledge to help her friends get the clarity they need, Ron patiently stands by her side through it all.
