This short story was expanded into a full length novel and published as Working out the Kinks. Sometimes the things you shouldn't do are the most tempting... After the worst show of my life, I didn’t feel like talking to anyone-- except maybe the gorgeous guy who bought me a drink. Until I realized who he was. Brett and I might have grown up together, but that didn’t mean we’d been friends. In fact, we’d been closer to enemies. He’d been a spoiled, selfish brat, who thought the world revolved around him. And he hadn’t really changed. Except… Now he’s all grown up. Undeniably gorgeous. And doesn’t seem to care that what he wants from me is just plain wrong. In fact, the more I tell him to back off, the more he ignores me. If he doesn’t stop acting like such a brat, I just might have to treat him like one. I’m not sure which one of us wants that more.
