Local veterinarian Dr. Giselle Cutler’s world is comfortable, filled with a profession she loves, a woman who makes her happy, and the confidence that the future is bright enough to require shades. When her cell phone begins vibrating across her nightstand in the middle of the night, she answers it with the assumption that an emergency has come up at her clinic, never suspecting that the emergency is personal. Her sister is missing, and all fingers seem to be pointing at someone from her own family...her fifteen-year old nephew.
