Úrsula Monte is a widow and heiress to one of the country's largest fortunes. She shares her luxurious estate with a century-old tortoise and is one of those women who lives her life as she pleases, no explanations needed—except when it comes to María; her right-hand woman in business, friend, and confidante for her secrets. Mildred Blanco is short on time every day to work. She is going through one of the toughest times in her life, struggling to ensure her daughter lacks nothing while facing her ex-husband in a costly lawsuit that is suffocating her. When an old friend offers her a job as the new chauffeur for Úrsula Monte, she doesn’t think twice, not even when he mentions that the millionaire is somewhat eccentric and will require her availability nearly around the clock. Their first meeting is somewhat of a mishap due to Mildred's clumsiness. The newly minted chauffeur knows this usually means an immediate dismissal, yet she returns home that day with just a reprimand and still employed.
