Is it possible to fall in love with your online gamer buddy?
Dominic
I’ve been pretty lonely in grad school at Stamports University. I’m surrounded by gorgeous basketball players who don’t acknowledge my existence. I miss Dane, Landon, and my other friends back at Korham U, but we graduated last year.
My one escape: video-gaming. While playing games online, I’ve made one really good friend. I only know him by his user name, but there’s no one I trust more to be by my side in the heat of digital battle. As the semester goes on, our chats are getting deeper, and we get to know each other more. It turns out he’s cool…really cool. We spend weeks texting each other nonstop. I haven’t seen my online buddy’s face yet, but I feel this intense deep connection with him.
Oh crap, this sounds like a crush.
That would be fine if he didn’t mention he lived in the same state as me. Now I’m going to a video game convention with my friends and I might actually get to meet him, face-to-face.
It’ll be fine, it’s not like he goes to my school, right?
[“The Games We Love” is a dual POV 18k word m/m romance novella set in the “Artists and Athletes” universe. Chronologically it takes place after the main characters have graduated from Korham University. You don’t need to read any of the other books to enjoy it, but essentially it’s A&A book 2.5. And yes, HEA guaranteed.]
