Overview

After waking up alone in her apartment, Alice decides that she must see Nashira again and contacts Elle, the ony person who can help her locate the Blood Moon coven. Alice looked up at Nashira in surprise. "You . . . kill people?!"  

Nashira smiled without showing any teeth. "My darling, I am a vampire. And what's more, I have no qualms about it. I kill because I have to, but I enjoy the feeding . . . Just as you enjoy your cheeseburgers and your French fries, I am certain."  

Alice scowled. "But people aren't cheeseburgers!"  

"I beg to differ," said Nashira, gazing at the distant manor on the hill. "I suppose we shall see if you are willing to stay after all you shall witness in my lair."
