Overview

Zara and Celia are story keepers in the Library of Unwritten Books, where they come across fragments of unfinished stories and try to resolve the conflicts they contain. In the last fragment, they helped two lesbian strippers escape their abusive employer.

Now they have found a new fragment called “The Depressed and Mentally Ill Bartender: Her Story”. The story is about a bartender named Kimberly who struggles with depression and harassment from customers at the bar.

Zara and Celia enter the bar and try to strike up a conversation with Kimberly, but she is hostile and dismissive towards them. Eventually they learn that Kimberly is being harassed by a group of men in the bar and they intervene, using a little magic to protect her.

However, Kimberly's boss soon finds out what they've done and threatens to hurt Kimberly if she doesn't stay in the bar. Zara and Celia intervene again, posing as rival mob leaders to scare the boss into leaving Kimberly alone.

The goal of this fragment, as with all fragments, is to resolve the conflict within the story and help the characters find closure. In this case, Zara and Celia must find a way to help Kimberly overcome her depression and deal with the harassment she faces at the bar.
