Ever since she's picked up a paintbrush, art has always consumed Violet Taylor's life. Now twenty-three and on the cusp of graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Violet isn't sure what life holds. While presenting a piece at a student art exhibition, Violet's artwork draws the attention of Naomi Black, a young real estate mogul. Naomi's infatuation with Violet's art style almost matches her interest in the artist herself. Soon Violet finds herself thrust into commissioning art, attending high-priced auctions, all under the care of her new supporter. Yet Violet cannot help but note Naomi's advances as the two blend work and pleasure seamlessly. Now Violet finds herself exposed to a whirlwind of emotion as Naomi drifts between patroness and something more.
