Overview

A grisly spree of murders is giving the city's two senior detectives a run for their money. The killer leaves literally no evidence at increasingly improbable crime scenes. No one wants to say it's a serial killer, but it's a serial killer, and they're killing rapists, and they're not exactly human. A pair of monster-hunting brothers is looking for the same killer and pretending to be FBI, but they are actually wanted by the real FBI, so they're walking a fine line while hunting this particular monster. The monster, an ancient enchantress, becomes enthralled with an attorney that works in the DA's office. The lawyer on the verge of burnout, is inexplicably drawn to an attractive young woman she meets outside of the courthouse, having no idea she's falling for a sorceress that is hundreds of years old. Eventually, all of these disparate threads come together. Identities unravel, spells are woven, and choices have to be made. Who are the real monsters in this tale of loneliness and mystery?
