Overview

Anton Seiber can't seem to escape the dead. A dead-end job as a journeyman thaumaturge in London's Mortuary Station, a dead father whose debts he's still working to repay, and—of course—the dead who are brought into his station. He's tasked with confirming their causes of death, work he takes seriously despite its macabre nature.

He's got one lifeline left—an application to a graduate program half a continent away. If he gets in, a whole new future will open up to him. One full of hard work, danger, and dare he even think it...romance?
