Overview

In 1943, a forbidden love affair begins in a small Nebraskan community. A young woman from the city moves to town, and she quickly stumbles onto a local farmer named Carolyn. Instantly, they know that they are falling in love. Yet, they know that their love would come with a price. An abusive husband, a fiancé overseas, a family in Boston, a town that has its own laws—there is no way to escape painful consequences. They must ultimately ask one question: How far are they willing to go for each other?
