I only do anonymous hookups. I don’t know why—maybe it’s the fact that I’m a burnt-out college guy, and these quickies with random hot dudes give me something to look forward to. Maybe it’s because I want a thrill; an adventure; a way to gasp for air and live a little while I’m stuck in this never-ending Ph.D. program. Whatever the reason, I wasn’t prepared to meet him. He says he’s a trucker, but it’s clear he’s involved with something much bigger than the both of us. He already knows who I am and all about my research.
