Charlotte Detective Red Calendar’s life is in shambles. Gina, love of her life, has left her. She’s been demoted from Sex Crimes to Cold Case because she shot that kid in the alley, a “justifiable” shooting. Has she lost her nerve? The shrink sends her to ride a desk.

So Red has nothing to lose when she reunites with her BFFs at their 30th high school reunion, where they revive the True Love Club. The five lonely, diverse women have little in common but a desire to leave their failed relationships behind, so they join DATESCAPE, never imagining that their Internet profiles will attract the attention of a deranged serial killer.

As her friends are brutally attacked, one by one, Red is assigned to investigate. At the same time, Gina reenters her life, dangerously distracting Red as she tracks the relentless murderer. When Red realizes that she herself is the psychopath’s ultimate prize, she fears she won’t live long enough to enjoy her second chance at love. She must overcome terror, find her courage, and do mortal combat with the most vicious, elusive enemy of her long career.
