Rowena returned home to her small town in the Puget Sound to fix up the family bed and breakfast, and ran straight into a problem: Her ex-best friend. Sure, Rowena can handle her put-downs and the snide comments about Rowena's floundering career as a lesbian romance novelist. But when said friend turns up dead right after their "altercation," Rowena is the prime suspect. As if that isn't bad enough, her high school crush is now chief of police, her powers as a witch are awakening...and is her cat trying to communicate with her?
