Kian: I was sixteen years old when I met the love of my life. My life was changed from the moment I looked into his eyes, and I knew that no matter what storm life threw at us we would brave it, together. His dark hair and shy smile. His dedication to working hard and providing a life for both of us. I knew that Trent would do anything to take care of me, and I would do the same for him. No matter what it took, we were going to be together.

Trent: I was twenty three years old when my life fell apart. I don’t know where it came from, or how to fix it. One moment, I was young and in love. Me and Kian were happy together. In the blink of an eye, the world as I knew it shifted under my feet and left me not knowing which way was up or down. Having to watch the person you love through a phone screen, and never being able to touch them is the worst kind of torture. And exactly what I deserve.

But in the end, I never truly lost. Because having him, even though our time together was cut short, is better than having a life where he never existed.
